Yes I,must say I,certainley been enjoying the Pro age, products, mostly it's bodywash and beauty body lotion. It's,wonderful to see Dove empowering campaigns.
I,thought these ads of real women whom are naturally beauitful and confident with
their curves and now age. These ladies in this Dove Pro Age photo and TV ads,had to have their own empowering confidence to pose nude.I,don't find it at all offenesive at all, posing nude is a work of art done in a positive way isn't wrong nor
distasteful. Now at 45 I've,learned to appreciate myself more.
And looking forward to turn 50,and continuing to be a strong mother, loving wife, with strenght and self-confidence.
THANK YOU DOVE!!
GO PRO AGERS!!!

That was very sweet to her such a wonderful comment by a very mature young woman.(Krissydoll),you're a smart intellegent woman.Too bad there aren't many
who think like you.
Yes I,did enjoy this ad,to see brave women as these ladies to pose nude and over
50,couldn't been easy.I'm,sure they delt with negotive criticizim!Mostly from media I'm,sure. However Dove points out a message of timeless beauty.
Though I'm,just 45,but feel more beauitful than I,did at twenty-five,Of course at 25
sure I,sexy beauitful with an ego trip.I,didn't appreciate my inner self of who I,was
more of what I,was on the outside. As years past I've,grown to understand true
meaning of beauty it's not just make up and good hair and body. It's, appreciating
who you are.

I am a Christian and an art history student. My faith and my studies have provided me with the knowledge that I have now.
What I would like to point out, is that there is a difference between being nude and being naked. Nakedness is what is portrayed in porn sites; frankly, to me, it's a disgrace to see young people displaying their bodies in such a perverted way. However, nude is the artistic appreciation of the human anatomy. I believe that is what Dove captures through photography. Think about the famous sculpture "David" or the paintings in the Sistine Chapel created by Michelangelo; Man is depicted nude in all of these pieces, in fact, so is God. We should be proud of who we are and what we look like. After all, God created us in his liking; that alone is a reason to celebrate our bodies.
I may only be 17 years old but I am not immature. Dove is an inspiration for all women. Dove women should not be concealed, but they should be applauded for what some people are afraid to show.
Thank you for being a role model for young girls like me.

Thanks for the support!
I have also just turned 60 and my husband also thinks I'm beautiful!
I have occasional bouts with self-doubt, but his support keeps me positive.
We need more men who realize that beauty is relative and changes with age, doesn't disappear!
Good for you and good for Dove for finally bringing this to the public's attention!

I have just turned 60 and I still feel and look great!
During my grad studies I did a paper on The Beauty Myth, and learned quite a bit about the values imposed on the young girls today, and how very dangerous and damaging they can be.
Health is an integral part of beauty. Teaching the youth today about proper nutrition as well as beauty rituals is so important.
As an educator, I always remind the students of the "brainwashing" that they receive at the hands of big commercial interests. One of my favorite visual images is the wall of faces from around the world that includes women with large metal circles around their necks to stretch their necks, women in African tribes who use large rings in their mouths as a sign of beauty,
aboriginal faces painted for courting rituals and quite a few more. I try to tell them that beauty is a cultural phenomenon and that "heavy" women are considered beautiful in countries where there is famine, just as "anorexic" looking women are considered beautiful in countries with abundance.
Parents and educators have a responsibility to their young women and young men to enlighten them. Perhaps if so many parents didn't buy the program, their children would follow suit?
We can only hope.
Mary Lou,
Teacher

HI, my name is Lana. I'm 19 years old and I find the DOVE commercials very refreshing. I am 5 foot and weigh 140 lbs. A little more than two years ago i weighed only 98 lbs. and I must say I do not long for my skinnier days. I lived in a very stressed enviroment, ate very little, and danced almost 4 hours a day. I did not realize the toll it was takin on my body until one day I collapsed in the middle of a dance performance. I have since moved and resumed a normal eating pattern and a much more relaxed lifestyle although i do still dance about 5 hours a week. I've gained almost 40 pounds in two years and I've heard more than one comment about my "little pudge". I AM FED UP WITH IT! I love my body now and I would like to celebrate it. I'm a beautiful, smart, talented young lady; why should I strive to be anything else? I have beautiful curves and I still have my hour glass figure. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW THEY CHOOSE WOMEN TO BE IN THE COMMERCIALS? I would love to show everyone that younger women also can be naturally beautiful.

I'm 21 and found the Dove Pro-Age campaign very striking!
I'm a journalism student and would love to write a story about the different views this campaign has created, for one of my journalism classes. If any of you would be interested in sharing their thoughts with me to include in my story, that would be wonderful!
I am interested in all views, young and old, for the campaign or against it!
Some questions to think about:
1. What do you think Dove's goal was with the Pro-Age Campaign in general, aside from the commercial.
Do you think the campaign will/has benefited women in society?
2. For any of you who actually purchase the pro-age products: How do you like them? How does using them make you feel?
3. Do you think Dove is accmplishing its' goal through this campaign?
Any thoughts are welcome, I simply want to use your views to quote in my story which will only be turned in to my professor.
Thank you to anyone who is willing to contribute!

This commercial is really pushing it. Why do women find it necessary to reveal all of themselves publicly to show beauty? This message of 'pro age' beauty was not at all conveyed to me...I felt offended. As a woman, I have a deep respect for what I have...I am proud to be who I am...I'm a 27 year old with a nice body but you won't find it on public television for any amount of money. I have too much respect for God, my spouse, and myself. I will not be putting dove products on my parts either if this is what the company will stoop too. (Where is the dignity? I am not seeing it.)
'Commercials like this deserve to be on television because women deserve to feel good about themselves?' - Relating feeling good about oneselves and being nude on tv aren't relative....
Dove is 'celebrating' women?! I don't feel celebrated...I feel exploited...another company parading women and their parts...I see this enough.
I have a hard time feeling the respect of women in this campaign. It's sad that the responses were screened like they were too. I am really dissappointed. There are other avenues for promoting aspects of 'beauty', 'esteem', 'respect'....we are all precious and too beautiful to be publicly paraded on world wide webs...there are porns sites for 'beauty' and 'celebration of women'....want to join them too?

IN REVIEWING THE PRO-AGE TV COMMERCIAL, I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT BEING YOURSELF IS A GIFT. DO NOT TAKE FOR GRANTED WHAT WE ARE GIVEN. I HAPPEN TO BE A 44 YEAR OLD MOM OF TWO GIRLS, AND HAVE ALWAYS GIVEN THEM THE ENCOURAGEMENT TO LOVE THEMSELVES AS THEY ARE. MY MOM DID THE SAME WITH ME, I CAN REMEMBER COMING HOME FROM SCHOOL AND WONDERED WHY OTHER GIRLS WOULD SHUN ME. MY MOM TOLD ME IT WAS OUT OF PURE JEALOUSY, AND NOW THAT I AM OLDER WITH TWO GIRLS WITH SIMILIAR PROBLEMS I CAN SEE WHY SHE HAD TOLD ME THAT, BECAUSE I AM DOING THE SAME WITH MY TWO. BOTH MY GIRLS ARE FIT AS I AM, THE YOUNGER ONE IS TALLER THAN THE OLDER ONE, TOOK AFTER ME. WE ARE WHO WE ARE.
NO ONE PERSON SHOULD CHANGE THIER BODIES TO FIT THE PERFECT MODEL THAT WE SEE ON TV OR IN MAGAZINES. ALL THIS SURGERY FOR WHAT, TO HAVE IT DONE ALL OVER AGAIN AT A LATER DATE.
THERE ARE SO MANY BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD THAT ARE MODEL MATERIAL, BUT JUST DO NOT KNOW HOW TO GO ABOUT IT, NOR DO THEY THINK THEY ARE PRETTY ENOUGH TO COMPETE IN THIS DOG EAT DOG WORLD.
I AM PROUD TO BE WHO I AM... THERE ARE SO MANY PRODUCTS OUT IN STORES THESE DAYS THAT REALLY WORK, VANISHING FINE LINES, GIVING YOUR FACE AN UPLIFT, TIGHTENING UNWANTED CONTOURS... BELIEVE IT OR NOT DOVE HAPPENS TO HAVE A FULL LINE OF PRODUCTS THAT REALLY WORK, THE PRICE IS RIGHT... IF YOU ALL READ THIS AND I HOPE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW AT THIS MOMENT IN YOUR LIFE, PLEASE BEFORE GOING TO THE DR. FOR THIER OPINIONS TRY THE PRODUCTS THAT ARE OFFERED FIRST.
YOU JUST MAY BE SURPRISED!!!! :))))

Commercials like this deserve to be on television, because women deserve to feel good about themselves; I can't bring myself to comprehend why the Pro-Age commercial could not be aired. Women need to come to the realization that we are absolutely beautiful at any age. We are radiant, and individuality is something to embrace, not push away.
Unfortunately, my mother is one of those women who constantly points out the so-called 'imperfections' in her body. To me, she's gorgeous. Just yesterday she was changing into her gym clothes and I heard her say, "I hate my fat." I told her to shut up, because frustration is the only thing that seems to follow when I try to make her see that she's fantastic the way she is. She is healthy, stunning, and a happy human being.
She has even told me, on many an occasion, I've got a little flab on me.
I'm 5'2" and 115 pounds. I'm 15 years old.
I used to let it get to me, but not anymore.
I love myself.
We need to support each other in this fight against the world's current, unrealistic perception of beauty, and 'women's place in society'.

I love the fact that at least one company, Dove, is celebrating women as we are. No perfect curves, hair, skin, etc. What God created, we shine through. Thank you Dove for taking a stand to say perfection is not reality. In our natural state, young to old, women are all beautiful. Hopefully all girls we start to see that advertising is not real, it's designed to make you 'buy'. The message I would like to get across to all young girls is....celebrate and enjoy what you have. You can't mess with perfection and that is how we were made....all shapes, colors, sizes. When you look in the mirror, you are real, you are beautiful, You Are You. Thanks again Dove for promoting REAL women in all our radiant glory. A note to all young women, we have earned every wrinkle and gray hair and we're damn proud of it!

I think the Pro-Age commercial is fantastic, Hurray for older women, we're just getting better, it's about time the industry tried their focus on older beauty, my question is, how do I get in on it, are there auditions for these commercials or do you have to have an agent. I am a 46 (47 in two weeks) year old female, I've been through Lupus, Fibromyalgia, losing my hair three times from the Lupus, which has grown back great, nursed my mother through 18 months of terminal cancer while I was sick, and every day is a gift, I have my health back, a wonderful supportive husband, a loving son, and I would love to tell the world my story. I take care of my health, live on a farm, but, I love making myself feel pampered with creams, lotions and bubblebaths and I consider myself beauiful on the inside and outside, because of a loving and supportive family. You rarely see commercials including the family unit, shouldn't we try that avenue as well? I adore Dove products and I love the higher end products as well, we can all pamper ourselves in some form and we should. Dove makes that possible. Feel good about yourself inside and you shine on the outside.

The ads are wonderful. If only my mother wasn't one of those women who was obsessed with her weight, then I could blame it all on society.
But if your parents are the ones inadvertently telling you that you aren't beautiful the way you are, that is a stronger message than the beauty industry can ever tell you.

I am thrilled to see Dove attempting to change our society's view on aging and an aging woman's body. That film was completely appropriate and tasteful. It is a shame it was not allowed to air. We all age and should be proud of how we look no matter how old we are. Every wrinkle and age spot we earned and wear them proudly!

I think the commercial is beautiful. These women are accomplished, they could be anyone - literally, any woman I meet in any place, from anywhere, in any walk of life- and their value is priceless. These women, this commercial dares society to continue it's small minded ways and asks it to think outside the box...
I applaud Dove for their effort and initiative to change views and social norms and make a positive statement to and for women everywhere. I am especially hopeful that we will be making a positive impact on women of all ages beginning with birth...we have to nurture and develop self esteems.
With the years of bombardment of media and social beauty standards with no end in sight, we still need more...maybe Dove men who look admiringly at these women - it may start with us, but it is up to us to change the vision of everyone, it is up to us to educate, and enlighten and inspire everyone to embrace beauty...of all ages, shapes, colors and size.
Thanks to the women in this commercial for having the confidence to show us how beautiful you are - and WE are, and to Dove for having the vision and commitment to their customers to create it.

Hi Judith! I just wanted to tell you that you don't have to call 20-somethings girls and yourself a woman. You're a girl, too! I hope you know that it doesn't matter how old you are. We're really all the same, whether your 5 or 105. So feel good, and never mind age!

I'll be turning 15 in December, and as I've gotten older I've just felt like I'm not pretty. I'm not as good as I used to be. The Dove Pro-age campaign has made me realize that beauty really does have no age limit. If those ladies can feel good about their bodies, so can I. I really am pretty! YAY!
